News reports have stated that more than 200 relief workers were killed by mudslides following the devastating earthquake in China.

While these types of major mass casualty incidents are rare, they bring up concerns over first responder safety while trying to rescue patients in a potentially unstable and dangerous area. How do safety concerns affect your decisions in the field when working a natural disaster incident?
