A recent incident in the UK has received media attention after a paramedic was banned from entering a violent stabbing scene to treat a patient without proper back-up.

According to the news article, the patient died five hours after the incident occurred.

While the paramedic was simply following proper protocols and procedures, some would argue that media scrutiny has cast a negative light on the EMS response. What are your thoughts? Do you feel that the media has unfairly portrayed EMS in this incident? How about in general? What do you do when media attention focuses on your response to one of your calls?
