The latest plan for EMS responders in New York is stirring up some discussion. Officials will soon roll out a special ambulance equipped with the means to preserve the bodies of potential organ donors. This is the first program in the nation to take such an approach.

The field of EMS is constantly changing and adapting to keep up with current technology and improve patient care. But how is your department affected by these innovations? What recent advances have benefited the EMS industry? What have detracted from it? Where should the balance be placed between old-school protocols and emerging trends? Share your thoughts.
